SATURDAY SWIM MEET
@ Ft. Myer, arrive by 645am
The line-up for Saturday has been sent out via the FMST mailing list. Our meet is against Ashburn Village at Ft. Myer.
Please arrive by 645am so we can take a picture, get the pool set up, and get in for warmups at 7am.
As a reminder, we do ask that everyone – whether they are slated to swim or not – attend our home meets. Arrival for non-swimmers is around 8am.

There will only be exhibitions for 6U and 8U in free and back, which will help move the meet along. We put in exhibition relays for as many age groups as we could to get some more kids in the meet (even if just for fun!).

As a reminder, for the non-exhibition events, we are pulling from the top 3-4 swimmers in each event unless there are absences that require us to move down the list. The meet is going to be a tough one, but I'm excited to see how we swim against some really quick kids.

The theme is Circus! Really looking forward to seeing some creative outfits!

Also, as I mentioned previously, this Saturday we will be doing another early senior send off for Austin Vander Ley before he heads to the Citadel. Please bring flowers to make his bouquet. We’ll ask the younger boys to come down and help send him off also before we get the meet underway.

PICNIC AND TEAM PICTURE
Immediately following the conclusion of our swim meet on Saturday we will get the Squids together for the team picture. Please be sure everyone has their team suit for this. Following the picture, we will head over to the grassy hill by the tennis courts for our annual FMST picnic.

PLEASE be sure you have RSVP’d for the picnic. This was added after you signed up to volunteer, so please take a quick second to do this so we have an accurate head count. Also, please remember to bring chairs/blankets/coolers/picnic baskets and your own drinks. If you have any group games (bocce, cornhole, volleyball, etc) that you’d like to bring for general use – please feel free!

RELAY CARNIVAL – SUNDAY
Arrive at 7:15am
The CSL Relay Carnival line-up was sent via FMST email list. If your availability has changed, let the coaches know ASAP. Our warmup is at 730am.  It’s a long day and parents are encouraged to bring chairs to sit in and/or chairs for the kids in the team area. There will be signs directing folks to the Red Division team areas (usually close to the opposite end of the pool where you arrive). Let the coaches know if you have any questions!

The meet is held at Sugarland Run pool at:
200 Greenfield Court
Sterling, VA 20164

More info on this meet is available on the CSL website: http://csl.nvblu.com/

DIVISIONALS AND ALL STARS
we've had a few more questions on Divisionals and All Stars. Divisionals is a line-up based event, developed by the coaches like every other regular season meet. However, there are no relays held and the IM becomes an official event. Because of the extra event, we are usually including the top 5-6 swimmers in each event since we are still bound by the 3-entry limits per swimmer. We may go further down the ladder, depending on who is absent/available.

ONLY swimmers who swim in Divisionals have the opportunity to qualify for All Stars. The top 4-5 kids across the whole league are invited to All Stars.

Based on that, we are tracking for the last day of regular season practice to be either Friday, July 18th or Wednesday, July 23rd (depending on when the AKC B meet is rescheduled, if at all). For Divisionals and All Star practices, we will move to a modified practice schedule and only those swimmers slated to swim in the Divisional meet will be asked to attend practice. We will be in touch with more info though on that next week though.
